Mariama El Baroudi, Research Associate

Mariama El Baroudi is currently a postdoctoral research fellow in LISM. She received a PhD in complex systems in post-genomic biology in 2012 from University of Turin, studying network motifs combining microRNAs and Transcription factors in the human regulatory network and working in Systems biology group under the supervision of Prof. Michele Caselle. She was a visiting PhD fellow at the Department of Experimental Medicine - Catholic University of Leuven (UCL)- Brussels (Belgium) in 2011. She holds a Master degree in medical and pharmaceutical Biotechnology from University of Ferrara in 2008. She won “Leonardo da Vinci” the European Union Scholarship in the field of Bioinformatics and nanobiotechnology for working at the Department of biotechnology - Institute for Applied Microbiology - University of Natural Resources and life Sciences - Vienna (Austria) in 2007. Her major research interests include: Research in cancer genomics and Study of structure and properties of complex networks.
